ASA Recruitment is recruiting Domestic Assistants to work across care homes and public sector facilities throughout Edinburgh and the surrounding areas.

When you join ASA, you’ll be supported by a team of dedicated Coordinators who will get to know you, understand your availability, and work with you to secure regular shifts that suit your lifestyle.

Your Role

As a Domestic Assistant, you’ll help create clean, safe and welcoming environments for residents, staff and visitors.

Cleaning bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchens, lounges and communal areas to a high standard

Maintaining excellent hygiene, infection prevention and cleanliness standards

Safely using cleaning equipment, chemicals and products in line with COSHH guidance

Replenishing cleaning materials and essential supplies

Reporting maintenance issues and health & safety concerns promptly

Working alongside care teams to provide a comfortable environment for residents

Respecting the privacy, dignity and independence of those you support

Following all Health & Safety, infection control and workplace procedures

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for reliable, motivated people who take pride in their work.

Previous cleaning, housekeeping or domestic experience (preferred but not essential)

Excellent attention to detail

A positive, professional and compassionate attitude

The ability to work independently and as part of a team

Good awareness of Health & Safety and infection control practices

A full five year employment history

A current PVG or willingness to obtain one
