As an Employee Relations and Reward Manager, you will be working within the Employee Benefits team as part of our Edinburgh based client’s Human Resources Department.

This integral position will see the successful Employee Relations and Rewards Manager undertake duties relating to revising, monitoring and improving human resources policies, procedures, products as well as consultation with associated partners, internal and external stakeholders to certify continual compliance with current employment legislation.

Responsibilities will include giving advice and assistance to ensure the constancy and success of Employment Relations and Reward services as well as HR policies. The successful Edinburgh based Employee Relations and Rewards Manager will also detect prospective risks to the organisation and offer resolutions where necessary. This should highlight the applicant’s impeccable organisational skills, portraying their capability to prioritise, plan and manage the weights of their own and others’ workload within deadlines. On top of this, the successful individual should analyse complicated issues and make well-rounded decisions.

Preparing and planning for both general and specific reward and engagement interventions comprising of scoping, negotiation and application of annual staff pay outcomes and employee benefits framework will be required. Additionally, it is anticipated that the appointed Employee Relations and Rewards Manager will undertake research and will deliver information with regards to Employment Relations and Rewards.

In order to be considered for the position of Employee Relations and Rewards Manager for our public sector client in Edinburgh you must have:

  • Previous managerial experience within either Employee Rewards or Employee Relations.
  • Demonstrable experience in the assessment, design and implementation of HR services encompassing its policies and procedures or collective.
  • Experience of interpreting and applying key aspects of employment law, taking account of organisational context.
  • Advanced interpersonal capacities in oral and written communication skills with a wide range of individuals to sustained professional relationships with stakeholders to reach the organisations anticipated results.
  • Membership with the Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development (CIPD) or be working towards achieving this.
  • Enhance Disclosure Scotland or willingness to obtain one.
