We’re recruiting Domestic Assistants to support care homes and public sector facilities throughout Edinburgh and the surrounding areas, with plenty of hours available to suit a range of schedules and personal commitments.

Whether you’re looking for full time hours or a working pattern that fits around your other commitments, our dedicated Coordinators will get to know your availability and work with you to secure regular shifts. We want to build long-term working relationships, giving you a reliable point of contact and ongoing opportunities to keep you working.

Your Role

• Cleaning bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchens, lounges and communal areas to a high standard.
• Maintaining excellent hygiene, cleanliness and infection prevention standards.
• Using cleaning equipment and chemicals safely in line with COSHH guidance.
• Replenishing cleaning materials and essential supplies.
• Reporting maintenance issues and health and safety concerns promptly.
• Working alongside care teams to maintain comfortable surroundings for residents.
• Following workplace procedures and health and safety requirements.

What We’re Looking For

• Previous cleaning, housekeeping or domestic experience is preferred but not essential.
• Good attention to detail and pride in maintaining high standards.
• A positive, professional and considerate approach.
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• An awareness of health and safety and infection control practices.
• A full five-year employment history.
• A current PVG or willingness to obtain one.
