Description

Looking for a care role where you can actually make a difference and still have a life outside of work?

We’re working with a well established group of care homes across Edinburgh that genuinely focus on creating a safe, supportive, and respectful environment for both residents and staff.

Right now, we’re looking for Care Assistants who want something more consistent and rewarding than the usual agency work. These are regular day shifts only, no nights so you get routine, stability and a better work life balance.

There’s more than one position available, so whether you’re looking to settle into something steady or build your experience, there’s real opportunity to grow and develop here.

If you take pride in delivering quality care and want to be part of a team that values what you do, this could be a great fit.

Your Role

  • As a Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in delivering high quality, person centred care that promotes dignity, independence, and wellbeing for every resident.
  • Provide compassionate personal care, including support with hygiene, mobility, meals, and daily living activities
  • Promote safe moving and handling practices, utilising appropriate equipment in line with best practice and policy
  • Encourage autonomy, independence, and informed choice, supporting residents to live fulfilling daily lives
  • Build trusting, meaningful relationships with residents, families, and wider multidisciplinary teams
  • Maintain accurate, timely documentation in line with regulatory and organisational standards
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues to ensure continuity of care and escalation of any changes in condition
  • Contribute actively as part of a collaborative, person-centred care team committed to continuous improvement

The Successful Candidates

We are looking for individuals who bring both experience and values led practice to their work:

  • Proven experience within a UK care home or adult social care setting, demonstrating applied knowledge of care standards and safeguarding principles
  • A compassionate, dependable and respectful approach to care delivery
  • Strong communication, teamwork and interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective working relationships
  • Current PVG registration, or willingness to undergo the relevant checks
  • A genuine commitment to delivering high quality, person centred care that aligns with professional standards and organisational values
