Are you a skilled Test Analyst passionate about delivering accessible, user-centric, and high-impact digital services?

A contract opportunity is available for an experienced Software Test Analyst to provide testing services within a dedicated Agile delivery team, supporting the Housing Management domain.

This is an Outside IR35 role.

Role Overview

You will be responsible for planning and executing structured testing activities to support the quality assurance of web-based applications and system components. Working closely with developers, analysts, and stakeholders, you will ensure that all software meets both functional and non-functional requirements.

Your role will include:

• Ensuring quality assurance across modern, multi-page and single-page web applications.

• Testing enhancements that improve accessibility, efficiency, and data protection compliance.

• Supporting the maintenance and sustainability of existing systems.

• Planning and executing structured exploratory testing and data-driven test scenarios.

• Supporting disaster recovery testing and system resilience assurance.

What You’ll Bring

We’re looking for someone with strong hands-on experience in software testing who thrives in agile delivery teams and takes ownership of quality at every stage.

Essential Skills & Experience:

• Shaping user stories, acceptance criteria and test data.

• Functional & non-functional testing of web applications.

• Structured exploratory testing and bug investigation.

• Strong SQL skills and experience with relational databases.

• Understanding of software failures and how to test for them.

• Agile ways of working (e.g. Scrum, XP).

• Data mining for complex and boundary test cases.

Desirable (Bonus) Experience:

• Working to GDS or Digital First standards.

• Familiarity with Scotland’s landlord/letting/property factor registration landscape.

• Exposure to automation tools such as Selenium or Cypress.
