Temporary Development Support Officer

Description

We’re currently looking for a highly organised and adaptable Temporary Development Support Officer to provide crucial support our public sector client during a period of team transition and increased activity.

This is a varied and hands-on role that will offer direct support to senior leadership and the business support function, with a focus on project development, fundraising activity, and maintaining operational continuity across departments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the Head of Development with short-term project planning and tendering of contracts valued under £5K

• Assist with financial tracking, budget monitoring, and reporting across multiple cost centres

• Manage ongoing small-scale marketing collateral projects, liaising with internal marketing teams and designers

• Support the development of content and collateral for fundraising and partnership activity

• Provide high-quality administrative assistance to the Head of Development

• Support the Business Support team to ensure seamless operations during staff changes

What We’re Looking For:

Essential:

• A strong background in administration or project delivery within a fast-paced environment

• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently

• Clear and confident communication skills, both written and verbal

• A collaborative approach and ability to quickly build effective working relationships

Desirable:

• Experience with budget monitoring and financial reporting

• Ability to write basic tender documents and liaise with suppliers or contractors

• Experience developing marketing content or supporting promotional activities
