Are you an experienced Forensic Support Worker?

ASA Recruitment is currently seeking dedicated and compassionate Support Workers with a background in forensic care. This role involves supporting individuals with complex needs, including forensic histories, trauma, and challenging behaviours.

We are looking for candidates who are confident in applying Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) strategies and trauma informed practices, ensuring each person is treated with dignity, respect, and a focus on their long term wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver person centred care and tailored support to individuals with learning disabilities, trauma, and forensic backgrounds.
• Apply current PBS strategies to reduce restrictive practices and promote positive outcomes.
• Administer medication safely and in line with Mar sheets/charts.
• Recognise and respond to changes in health, behaviour, or wellbeing
• Promote independence through support with daily living tasks such as personal care, meal prep, and community engagement.
• Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, families, and external agencies.
• Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential records.

Requirements:

• Minimum 6 months Forensic Support or Complex support experience
• Valid Right to Work in the UK
• CV covering 10 years work history
• PVG Update required through ASA
• Registration with the SSSC
• Compassionate and empathetic nature, with a genuine desire to help others
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Flexibility to cover Days, Nights and Weekends
• Confident understanding of PBS and trauma informed approaches
• CALM, MAPA, PMVA or CPI training is a plus.
