Senior Software Developer -Java

Description

A key public sector organisation is seeking a skilled Java Lead Developer to take the helm of a large-scale Spring Boot upgrade and AWS migration initiative. You’ll modernise enterprise-level applications, enhance cyber security, and guide internal developers through future-proofing critical systems.

You’ll play a lead technical role in a cloud-first environment with opportunities to influence architecture, improve deployment processes, and ensure full lifecycle delivery from development to production readiness.

What You’ll Do
Upgrade Java/Spring Boot applications to latest versions
Reconfigure Tomcat servers and dependencies for AWS
Resolve deprecated code, cyber vulnerabilities, and runtime issues
Lead deployment across development, test, and production environments
Provide knowledge transfer to internal teams
