Senior Associate – FCA Conduct Rules

ASA Recruitment’s client, a leading investment organisation in Edinburgh, are currently looking to recruit a Senior Associate, on an initial 3 month contract (with potential extensions) on a rate of £400/day inside of IR35.

The Role:

The Senior Associate will play a crucial role in our client’s mission to drive forward sustainable and equitable growth. You will support the organisation’s investment team in providing financial, commercial and impact analysis and deal execution support. The role is designated a Conduct Rules Position under the Bank’s Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) authorisation (once confirmed) and the Senior Management & Cerification Regime. The role holder will be required to comply with the FCA Conduct Rules and to participate in mandatory training, including, on the organisation’s Code of Conduct Policy.

Responsibilities:

• Creating and interpreting financial and commercial valuation models to guide decisions for potential investments.
• Undertaking desktop research.
• Scoping and assessing independent due diligence on investment opportunities, drafting and contributing to investment committee papers.
• Providing consistent deal execution support for the end-to-end investment process.
• Balance multiple time-critical deals in a complex environment, working as part of a supportive and skilled team.

Essential Experience:

• Relevant work experience in a financial, commercial or industrial environment would be beneficial.
• Degree qualified in Business, Finance or related fields; professional qualification (CA, CFA or similar) will be highly regarded.
• Equally, practical experience gained in an M&A or transactional related banking, investment or corporate role would also be highly regarded for those without a degree.
• Enjoy working flexibly to client and transaction-driven deadlines in a diverse, solutions driven team environment.
