If you’re someone who genuinely cares about supporting people through difficult times and wants a role where no two days are the same, we’d love to hear from you.

ASA Recruitment is currently recruiting experienced Support Workers to join services across Edinburgh supporting adults affected by homelessness, substance misuse, and complex needs. This is a rewarding opportunity to work within supportive teams where your experience, compassion, and ability to build trust can have a real impact on people’s lives.

In this role, you’ll be supporting individuals in accommodation and community-based settings, helping them maintain their wellbeing, access support services, attend appointments, and work towards greater independence. The people you’ll support may be experiencing challenging circumstances, so we’re looking for candidates who can remain calm, professional, and empathetic in difficult situations.

Previous experience supporting individuals affected by substance misuse is essential, and you must be confident working independently and lone working when required. The ability to build positive relationships while maintaining professional boundaries is key to success in this role.

We’re looking for reliable and compassionate people who are passionate about supporting vulnerable adults and who understand the importance of trauma-informed care. Strong communication skills, patience, and the ability to adapt to different situations are all important qualities for this position.

Ideally, you will hold an SVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent) and be registered with the SSSC and PVG scheme, although support can be provided to obtain these if needed.

In return, ASA Recruitment offers flexible work opportunities, ongoing support from a dedicated team, weekly pay, and the chance to gain valuable experience within well-established services across Edinburgh.

If you’re ready to make a difference and want to be part of a team that values the work you do, apply today.
