We’re looking for reliable and hardworking Kitchen Porters to join a well respected care homes in Edinburgh. This is an excellent opportunity to begin or grow your career in the catering sector. Many people start as Kitchen Porters before progressing into roles such as Catering Assistant, Chef’s Assistant, or even Chef. Giving you a real pathway to develop your skills and build a long term career in catering.

You’ll play an important role in keeping the kitchen running smoothly, supporting with food prep, maintaining hygiene standards, and contributing to safe, nutritious meals.

What you’ll do:

• Keep kitchen and food preparation areas clean, tidy, and hygienic
• Wash dishes, utensils, pots, and pans to a high standard
• Assist kitchen staff with simple food preparation tasks
• Manage waste and maintain clean, organised bins
• Support stock rotation and assist with deliveries
• Follow food hygiene and safety procedures carefully

Who we’re looking for:

• Dependable, hardworking and eager to learn
• Comfortable working in a fast paced kitchen environment
• Team focused with a positive, can-do attitude
• Experience in kitchens or catering is helpful, but not essential
• PVG or willingness to apply through ASA
