Salary: £12.60 – £15.00 per hour

Are you a practical, reliable and skilled Handyperson looking for flexible and rewarding work in Edinburgh? ASA Recruitment is currently seeking experienced and proactive individuals to join our growing team of maintenance professionals, working across a variety of locations.

About the Role:

As a Handyperson with ASA Recruitment, you’ll be responsible for delivering essential maintenance and repair services in a range of settings across Edinburgh, including care homes, community centres, church halls, and other local authority or third sector buildings. Your work will help keep vital spaces safe, functional and welcoming for the people who rely on them every day.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out routine maintenance tasks including basic plumbing, joinery, painting and minor electrical work
• Respond to repair requests and identify faults requiring attention
• Support with setting up rooms, moving furniture and maintaining communal areas
• Keep accurate records of maintenance activities and report major issues as required
• Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations and site policies

What We’re Looking For:

• Hands on experience in a maintenance, estates, or facilities support role
• Confidence in general repairs including minor plumbing, electrical and carpentry work
• Good understanding of COSHH regulations and IOSH principles to ensure safe working practices
• Ability to work independently and adapt to a variety of environments
• Strong communication and time management skills
• A full UK driving licence is desirable
• PVG or willingness to undergo checks may be required depending on placement
