Description

Our client in Aberdeen require a Customer Service Adviser on an initial 12 week placement ( with the option to extend ) to assist in the smooth running of all functions pertaining to Customer Service teams whilst maintaining consistently high levels of customer care

Typical working hours will be Monday – Friday 830am – 5pm ( but may vary ) with an hourly rate of £9.76 per hour ( PAYE ) along with holiday pay accrual

The postholder will be expected to deliver efficient, effective and professional services to customers through face to face, telephone, written and electronic means of communication in accordance with relevant legislation and governance policy. Tasks to include:

* Handling enquiries
* Answering incoming calls
* Performing administrative functions
* Updating customer accounts
* Processing customer correspondence

The postholder will be required to process financial services in accordance with appropriate financial regulations along with:

* Taking payments
* Perform end of day banking procedures in a secure manner according to guidelines
* Correct processing of electronic transactions and calculations

The postholder will be expected to utilise appropriate ICT equipment and systems for the effective delivery of services, ensuring records are correctly and accurately updated along with contributing to, and supporting the ongoing operational development of the Customer Service teams:

* Provide constructive feedback on processes and procedures
* Highlight areas where improvements can be made

Minimum requirements for the role:

* Previous skills and experience of a relevant customer facing role
* Meeting service targets both individually and as part of a team
* Using standard ICT packages including Microsoft Office
* Ability to use own initiative and work unsupervised
* Being able to relate to people on all levels
* Ability to handle difficult / emergency situations

There will be additional requirements to travel as required to the needs of the Service and work at alternative locations as and when required
