ASA Recruitment’s client within the Public Sector is seeking a Communication and Correspondence Officer to join a very new and fast paced team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to become involved in Scotland’s largest vaccination programme.

The successful post holder will be required to be very adaptable in a very varied role. You will be expected to work closely with the policy team developing policy lines making sure to keep up to date with current and topical issues. This is a rewarding area of work, which will give the successful candidate the opportunity to develop and implement policies to protect the people of Scotland through immunisation.

Main duties may include but are not limited to:
· Take ownership and lead specific work streams for example collating and summarising reports from health boards, contributing to the daily briefing notes and core brief etc.
· Support the Team’s Ministerial corporate responsibilities including all correspondence, PQs and Freedom of Information
· Ensure that returns from Health Boards and responses made to the public are stored appropriately

Essential Skills:
· Ability to review large amounts of information from a number of sources and from that make a decision based on policy guidance and legislation
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Ability to manage a range of competing priorities
