Responsibilities:

• Plan, prepare, and cook well-balanced and nutritious meals for considering dietary restrictions and preferences.
• Collaborate with the team to ensure that special dietary requirements and individual preferences are met.
• Maintain high standards of food hygiene and safety in accordance with relevant regulations.
• Monitor and manage kitchen supplies, ensuring timely ordering and restocking of ingredients.
• Create menus that cater to a variety of tastes and accommodate special events or celebrations.
• Adapt recipes to meet the specific needs, considering texture modification and dietary guidelines.
• Foster a positive and collaborative working environment within the kitchen.

Requirements:

• Valid Right to Work in the UK
• Proven experience as a Chef, preferably in a care home although not essential
• Food Hygiene and Food Allergen Certificate
• Understanding of food safety regulations and a commitment to maintaining a clean and organised kitchen.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• CV covering 5 years work history
• Reliable and trustworthy
• Good attention to detail
• PVG update required through ASA.
