We are seeking reliable and motivated Kitchen Porters to join a well respected care home in Edinburgh. This role is more than just keeping the kitchen clean, it’s an opportunity to develop your skills, gain practical experience in catering, and progress toward senior kitchen roles. You’ll play a key part in supporting the kitchen team, maintaining hygiene standards, assisting with light meal preparation, and ensuring residents receive safe and nutritious meals every day.

What you’ll do:

• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in kitchen and food prep areas
• Wash dishes, utensils, pots, and pans to a high standard
• Assist kitchen staff with light meal preparation, including basic chopping, portioning, and plating
• Manage waste and ensure bins are clean and organised
• Support stock rotation and help with deliveries
• Follow all food hygiene and safety regulations carefully

Who we’re looking for:

• Dependable, hardworking, and a team player with a positive attitude
• Comfortable working in a busy, fast paced environment
• Keen to learn and take on new responsibilities
• Experience in a kitchen or care setting is a bonus, but not essential
• PVG registered or willing to apply through ASA
