Care Home Manager Fixed-Term Contract

Isle of Skye | £52,845 per annum | 6-Month Contract

ASA Recruitment is seeking an experienced and motivated Care Home Manager for a six-month opportunity within an elderly care service on the beautiful Isle of Skye.

This is an excellent opportunity for an established care home manager to take on a rewarding leadership role within a 35-bed care home supporting older people.

With a proposed start date in mid-to-late November, this position would suit a confident and hands-on manager who can provide strong leadership, maintain high standards of care and support the effective day-to-day running of the service.

Accommodation is available at a reasonable cost, making this an attractive opportunity for someone considering a temporary move to the Isle of Skye.

The Role

As Care Home Manager, you will be responsible for the overall management of the service, ensuring residents receive safe, compassionate and person-centred care.

Your responsibilities will include:

Leading and supporting the care home team to deliver high-quality care.

Overseeing the day-to-day running of the 35-bed service.

Ensuring residents dignity, choice, independence and wellbeing remain at the heart of care delivery.

Maintaining compliance with Care Inspectorate requirements, relevant legislation and organisational policies.

Managing staff performance, supervision, development and recruitment.

Monitoring care standards, risk assessments and care planning.

Working closely with residents, families, staff and external healthcare professionals.

Identifying opportunities for service improvement and promoting a positive team culture.

Managing resources effectively to ensure the smooth operation of the home.

About You

We are looking for an experienced care leader who can demonstrate:

Previous experience managing a care home or a similar elderly care service.

A strong understanding of elderly care and person-centred practice.

Knowledge of Care Inspectorate standards and regulatory requirements in Scotland.

The ability to lead, motivate and support a team effectively.

Strong organisational, communication and decision-making skills.

A proactive approach to maintaining and improving care standards.

The relevant qualifications and registration required for a Care Home Manager role in Scotland.

Whats on Offer?

£52,845 per annum
