About the Role

Are you friendly, caring, and enjoy working with people? We are looking for a friendly individuals to join our team, supporting both our café services and our clients in a welcoming, community focused environments across community centres, day centres and sheltered housing.

You could be supporting to serve delicious food and beverages as a café assistant or barista, helping in the kitchen, or offering companionship and practical support to clients during mealtimes and social activities. This is a varied, hands on role that makes a real difference to people’s lives.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome clients, visitors, and café customers warmly
• Serve meals, snacks, and drinks, and support light food preparation
• Assist with meal times, offering practical help and friendly companionship
• Prepare, clear, and maintain dining and café areas to a high standard of cleanliness and safety
• Support clients to participate in social activities
• Handle café cash or card payments and maintain accurate till records
• Assist with light housekeeping, table setting and kitchen hygiene

Candidate Requirements

• Genuine empathy, compassion, and a friendly approach
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Reliable, patient, and approachable
• Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends
• Previous experience in care, hospitality, or community support is desirable but not essential
• Willingness to obtain a PVG (Protecting Vulnerable Groups) membership
