Our client is seeking an experienced Interim Business Manager to support key corporate, performance, and business planning functions across our audit delivery business groups. This role requires an individual with strong strategic insight, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work confidently with senior leaders in a complex organisation. You will lead on developing and maintaining business management systems, shaping transformation activity, and supporting leadership teams to drive quality, efficiency, and meaningful organisational impact.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain business management systems including performance reporting, business planning, and risk management.
  • Oversee accurate and timely reporting of performance data, budgets, resource use, and audit quality to support informed decision-making.
  • Support development of work programmes, including scheduling key meetings and obtaining strategic input.
  • Assist and represent leadership teams in corporate forums relating to performance and information management.
  • Ensure compliance with key corporate policies, procedures, and organisational standards.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and enhance sharing of audit intelligence to increase audit impact.
  • Contribute to development of a new Performance Management Framework with a unified, outcomes-focused approach.
  • Work with colleagues and leaders to establish a vision for performance measurement based on both quantitative data and audit impact.
  • Gather and analyse performance data to enhance reporting accuracy and support strategic decisions.
  • Facilitate stakeholder engagement to build ownership and alignment across teams.
  • Help design processes and reporting tools that enable continuous improvement and timely decision-making.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience in a complex organisation in a corporate strategy, business management, or senior operational role.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing, implementing, and maintaining performance reporting, business planning, and risk management systems.
  • Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly, accurately, and concisely.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels, applying emotional intelligence and adapting communication styles when required.

Desirable Skills

  • Degree-level education and/or relevant professional qualification.
