Description

Are you an experienced administrator on the lookout for a new permanent role? Are you ready for an exciting new challenge?

ASA are currently working with a public sector education body to recruit a Senior Teaching Administrator. Your role will be to provide on-programme administrative support for a number of programmes and associated courses alongside the Team Leader and other Senior and Teaching Administrators. This permanent position is based in the EH8 area of Edinburgh with hybrid working available.

In this role you would:

– Provide high quality teaching and assessment administration for a number of programmes and related courses utilising Learn, EUCLID, SAP Business Objects reporting tool, Timetabling Change Request Form, web timetables, MS Teams, MS SharePoint, Office 365, and other systems as appropriate
– Administer assessment, examinations and student progression and to ensure preparation for all related Exam Boards is completed to the highest standard
– Act as main point of contact with Head of Group and Programme Directors for a number of programmes
– Contribute to or lead on short-term or ongoing projects
– Organise multiple programme and course level community building activities throughout the academic year

Essential qualifications/skills/experience required to be successful:

– Vocational qualifications (N/SVQ 3, ONC or equivalent) plus typically 2 years’ work experience in a relevant role; or School education to standard grade level of equivalent plus typically 3 years’ relevant work experience
– Digital literacy and good IT skills – Microsoft Office applications
– Experience of both working/responding independently and as part of a team. Resourceful, with the ability to use initiative and a proactive approach to seeking out information
– Good time management skills, with the proven ability to prioritise and organise workload effectively
– Professional approach, with high level customer service standards, excellent interpersonal and communication skills
