Enviroment Manager

Description

Our public sector client is currently looking for an experienced Environment Manager to join their team in Edinburgh for an initial 6 month contract.

Engaging in in delivering key operational and technical capabilities on a number of strategic programmes, you will ensure technical environments are configured to a known level across versions of infrastructure, applications and configuration.

You will be responsible for the management of environments and Releases and you must be experienced in the structured testing practices, Environments Management and Release Management.

The role will work closely with both development and test teams and report into the Programme Test Manager.

Requirements:
* Significant experience managing test environments across disparate ranges of technologies provided in a multi-vendor environment
* Experience of the Software Development Lifecycle (Waterfall and Agile)
* Knowledge of Release Management
* Experience of configuration management techniques and practices
* Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to liaise with a range of suppliers across development and test disciplines

Defect Management experience would be a real bonus for this role.
