Description

We are looking for an Enterprise Architect to join an IT Team within our clients head office in Edinburgh. You will become part of our highly skilled technical team that develops and supports the critical infrastructure across our clients portfolio.
You will play an integral role in developing a roadmap for the execution of our clients Digital Strategy.
The right candidate will have knowledge across proprietary core systems and Windows 10 environments to help identify, articulate and design solutions. They also need to have a pragmatic approach to aligning business context with design solutions.

Job Description:
* To ensure that the respective business, application, data and technology perspectives are in line with organisation’s technology and governance strategies, policies and standards.
* Catalogue, develop, coordinate, communicate, maintain, and enforce the overall Enterprise Architecture Models, Representations, Initiatives, Capabilities, and Standard Components used by our client to perform all technology-related activities.

Essential/ desired skills:
* Take a lead in ensuring IT is seen as a positive and proactive part of the business.
* Hold a qualification in Computer Science (or relevant Business and/or Technical discipline) and have substantial relevant experience in a commercial business and/or public service of similar size.
* Demonstrable skills and expertise as an Enterprise Architect.
* Experience in delivering to multiple competing projects, ensuring the right solutions are delivered in line with the target architecture and roadmap.
* Excellent documentation skills – Word, Excel, Visio.
* A pragmatic approach to Enterprise Architecture – balancing business needs with EA governance.
* Strategy and roadmap experience – our clients Digital Strategy is designed to ensure they are implementing and/or planning to implement current/leading technology – we don’t want a roadmap based on just end-of-life replacement necessity.
* Digital workplace experience, ideally public sector, public services, not banking or insurance.
* Experience of programmes that include Office365, Windows10, non-finance/banking core systems.
* Experience working in a regulated environment.
* Working closely with Project and IT colleagues to build and advise on solutions.
