Wireless Network Engineer

Description

We are looking for a Wireless Network Engineer to join an IT Team within our clients HQ in Edinburgh. You will become part of our highly skilled technical team that develops and supports the critical infrastructure that powers their business.
You will play an integral role in the execution of the their Digital Strategy.

Job description:
* Define the strategy to enable delivery of the WiFi network infrastructure.
* Design and implement of the WiFi network infrastructure.
* Create & maintain documentation for the implementation of the WiFi network.
* Support and coach other engineers in the team at a technical level to provide engineering support to enable the business to provide high quality WiFi to the customer.
* Be flexible, to work on other (non-WiFi) aspects of the network infrastructure.
* Provide third-line support for Service Desk.
* Collaborate with the existing Network support team.
* Working closely with Project and IT colleagues to build and advise on solutions.
* Take a lead in ensuring IT is seen as a positive and proactive part of the business.

Essential/ desired skills:
* Ideally hold a degree in Computer Science and CCIE, including Routing & Switching and CCIE Wireless.
* It’s highly desirable if you hold CCNP.
* You will have substantial relevant experience in a Network role in a commercial business and/or public service of similar size.
* Strong Wireless knowledge and experience with Cisco kit.
* Strong demonstrable experience in the design and implementation of WiFi networks.
* CCIE level certification with strong routing and switching background.
* Experience in providing secure WiFi services.
