This role will involve some aspects of traditional accounting responsibilities but also other new aspects of advice and guidance to overall processes and decision making.

As a Senior Finance Business Partner and qualified Accountant, you will be taking on a senior role responsible for assisting the Accountable Officer in carrying out their financial duties. You will also be responsible for providing professional financial advice and guidance which will contribute to the overall decision making of the department.
This role is unique as your time will be split initially between Finance colleagues, learning our practices and policies in one public body, and leading the transfer of financial knowledge and expertise to another public body. You will provide support and direction on monthly and annual accounts, forecasting budgets, modelling cash flow requirements, and representing the financial point of contact for body.

Some of the Main Duties will be but not be limited to:
· Production of monthly and annual account reports in line with regular monthly deadlines
· Review of financial controls
· Identify and consider emerging trends to support cashflow monitoring and forecast application.
· Interpreting monthly financial data to challenge forecasted budgets, investigate cash variances, and identify and explain risks where appropriate.

If you have these skills and experience:
· Consultative Committee of Accountancy Bodies (CCAB) qualification or equivalent
· Strong knowledge of business planning and budget monitoring
· Experience of accounting and other software
· Ability to provide accurate forecasting and financial analysis to support informed decision making.
· This opportunity is suited to but not limited, to anyone who has experience within a previous Financial Accounting or Management Accounting discipline and is knowledgeable in public or third sector annual accounting processes.
