We are seeking someone who has strong experience of the Oracle platform and working with data in general to be considered for this role.
The organisation is based in Edinburgh, but the role can be predominantly WFH, with occasional travel to the office required.
The Role:
The Oracle Developer will be primarily responsible for working with the existing Oracle E-Business Suite R12 applications and databases to optimise their performance, extend their functionality and ensure seamless integration with other systems. Responsibilities:
· Customise and extend Oracle E-Business Suite R12 applications to meet specific organisational needs.
· Integrate Oracle R12 applications with third-party systems for data exchange and automation.
· Manage and optimise Oracle databases, including Oracle 12 and 19C, supporting R12 applications.
· Fine-tune the performance of Oracle R12 applications and databases for efficiency.
· Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, bugs, and errors in Oracle R12 applications.
· Apply updates, patches, and new releases to Oracle R12, ensuring compatibility with customisations.
· Maintain thorough documentation of customisation, interfaces, and technical solutions.
Requirements:
· Strong experience with Oracle technologies, including Oracle 12 and 19C databases.
· Proficiency in customising and extending Oracle R12.1.3 Applications.
· Expertise in designing, testing, implementing, and supporting complex integrations in a production environment.
· Ability to configure, identify, and resolve root causes of complex integrations while understanding underlying data tables.
· Proficiency in PL/SQL.
· Familiarity with Oracle R12 APIs.
· Experience with version control systems like GitLab.
· Knowledge of human-centred, research-driven design practices.
· Experience in automated testing with tools like Cypress.
· Track record of introducing or improving processes in development environments.
· Expertise in data migration within Pega using an ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) model.
