Description

There is a fantastic opportunity for an Agile Project Manager to join a large public body in Scotland as part of an ongoing digital transformation to bring their services in line with the most up to date systems. The existing team are seeking someone with strong experience and expertise in this area to be truly effective in the change process.
The role is based in Edinburgh and can allow for some hybrid working. The role is being offered as an initial 6-month contract with the option to extend up to 24-months.

The Role:
The public body seeks an experienced Agile Project Manager to take a prominent position within the team that has been established to bring about the digital transformation. The Project Manager will be responsible for providing substantial value to stakeholders and end users through planning, supporting teams ensuring high performance and quality.

Responsibilities:
· Efficiently manage project schedules and oversee high-level change control, including scope management.
· Proficiently handle risk, issue, assumption, and dependency management for projects.
· Effectively manage relationships with suppliers involved in project delivery.
· Skilfully negotiate and resolve any obstacles that may impede project progress.
· Ensure strict adherence to the in-house LOAD delivery methodology.
· Provide comprehensive project reporting to relevant stakeholders.
· Achieve targeted project deliveries within set timelines.

Requirements:
· Demonstrate strong project management capabilities with a proven track record in agile projects, encompassing schedule management, risk management, and reporting.
· Possess excellent interpersonal, communication, influencing, and negotiation skills.
· Provide evidence of delivering tangible business value through past project experiences.
· Have experience in managing both agile and traditional projects, encompassing software delivery and associated business transformations.
· Exhibit awareness of Digital First Service Standards and Government Digital Services (GDS) principles.
· Possess agile certification.
· Hold project management certification.
· Show experience in user research.
· Familiarity with Azure DevOps is desirable.

Package on Offer:
· 6-month contract with the option to extend to up to 24 months.
