Are you an innovative Full-Stack Developer looking for a fresh challenge? There is an exciting opportunity to join an organisation that is implementing a digital transformation. Our client is looking for an experienced developer to join the existing team in a contract role to help accelerate this transformation.
The Role:
The role focuses on collaboratively developing new serverless micro-services through AWS Lambda as well as typescript/JavaScript. The aim of this role is to move from a traditional document management system to a new cutting-edge cloud-based solution to further the public body’s digital transformation. Our client is looking for someone with strong and demonstrable experience working in a similar role and an advanced understanding of the platforms and systems outlined below.
The role can be based in either Edinburgh or Glasgow with hybrid working.
Responsibilities:
· To transfer the existing data from the traditional system to a new cloud-based system.
· To be a key part of the development of this new system as well as to ensure its smooth running.
· The continued development and improvement of the systems.
· Create quality software with tests and code analysis.
· To coach, mentor and up-skill junior members of the team.
· Provide expert knowledge to other members of the team and departments where required.
Requirements:
· Strong knowledge and experience in a similar role.
· A genuine interest and enthusiasm for creating high-quality software, with a key focus on attention to detail and being outcome driven.
· Experience designing and implementing a solution using a service-based and serverless architecture.
· Experience working in the Agile delivery models – such as Scrum and/or Kanban frameworks.
Strong knowledge and experience of using the following software:
· AWS
· Serverless (Lambda)
· CodePipeline
· Typescript and TypeOrm
· And more
Package on Offer:
· Daily rate of up to £475 DOE.
· This role is a 6-month initial contract with possible extension and is outside of IR35.
