Do you have HR experience?

ASA Recruitment are looking to source an HR Generalist to support a large Scottish public sector inquiry. This long term contract role is suitable for candidates based in the Edinburgh area, to work on a hybrid basis.

If you started in this role today you would be…

• Assist employees with HR-related enquiries or requests, offering advice, and best practise approaches, ensuring that the Inquiry adheres to HR and staffing requirements
• Support managers in ensuring they are equipped with the skills and knowledge to best manage their staff, assisting and signposting to further support as necessary
• Lead on the Inquiry’s recruitment process by identifying candidates, completing necessary recruitment paperwork, preparing interview questions and notifications, and, where applicable, performing reference checks and issuing employment contracts to agency workers
• Working with the People and Place Manager assist in designing people strategies and plans for the Inquiry workforce, including identifying and retaining key talent across the Inquiry and developing a retention strategies

So, what are we looking for?

• Proven experience in an HR Administration role, with strong people skills
• Great understanding of HR functions and best practices
• Recruitment experience would be advantageous but not essential
