Are you an experienced copywriter with a background in media?

ASA is looking for a Communications Manager to join our public sector client for a 12-month FTC as soon as possible. This is a hybrid working position based in Edinburgh. Occasional travel may be required to relevant sites.

If you started in this role today, you would…

· Take responsibility for maintaining a well-organised and responsive media service.
· You will arrange and deliver media handling plans, respond to media enquiries, create news articles and releases, and manage engagement and media handling of official statistics.
· You will participate in an on-call rota which will be compensated for.
· You’ll maintain accurate work records and update relevant systems accordingly.
· You will consistently create first-rate content for the social media channels, websites, intranet and other associated client sites and platforms.

So, what are we looking for?

· A positive team player who can engage and contribute to the team’s work.
· Demonstrable corporate experience in media, handling enquiries, social media responses and creating content with compelling copy.
· Proven experience developing relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
· Experience using a wide range of traditional media, web platforms, and social media.
· Experience adapting your writing to align with the brand on all mediums.
