Procurement Manager

Are you an experience Procurement Manager with a passion to make a difference? We are working on a position in Edinburgh which may interest you.

Working on long-term procurement strategies, this is a 12 month fixed term contract with a great salary and benefits available for the right person.

What your responsibilities will be:

• Proactively leading on medium to high value/risk procurements, including the development and implementation of procurement strategies that aim to meet the needs of stakeholders and maximise value for money
• Effectively managing the full end to end procurement process from inception through to contract award, taking responsibility for legislative compliance of your procurements
• Actively embedding measurements in contracts that enable long-term performance monitoring and continuous improvement, pro-actively supporting contract managers with contractual matters
• Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with stakeholders to support the delivery of a high-quality service, ensuring pro-active participation and buy-in to deliver credible procurement strategies and contracts

What you will need to succeed:

• Proven experience of managing the end-to-end procurement process for medium to high value/risk procurement projects in the public procurement environment, in accordance with public sector procurement legislation
• Experience in assessing sustainability impacts of contracts and embedding improvement measures to achieve successful sustainable outcomes
• Excellent communication, influencing and stakeholder management skills
• The ability to develop positive relationships at all levels, and experience in collaborative working
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to collect and analyse information from various sources to draw conclusions and provide credible advice on procurement matters
