ASA Recruitment are working with Scotland’s largest public sector client to source a Senior Procurement Specialist. This role is suitable for candidates within travelling distance to Edinburgh, on a hybrid basis.

If you started in this role today you would…

• Lead on the range of procurement activities, commercial decision-making and contract management support covering the full end to end procurement process
• Strategy development, planning and implementation of medium-to-high risk/value commodity strategies optimising value for money for the organisation
• Supporting project teams and forming user intelligence groups where required to facilitate the development of business requirements
• Provide internal specialist procurement and contractual advice on public procurement legislation, policy and procedures

So, what are we looking for?

• Experience of delivering public procurement projects with an understanding of the challenges and complexities of procurement in the Scottish Public Sector
• Solid knowledge and understanding of the full end to end procurement process (including strategic procurement techniques, sourcing and tendering, contract management, and negotiation)
• Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills and experienced at operating within complex stakeholder environments with demonstrated procurement credibility
• Membership of a relevant procurement body would be advantageous (i.e. CIPS)
