Are you looking for a new senior procurement role which would see you become an integral part of a vital public sector Agency

This role forms part of the framework of staff for a brand new Public Sector Agency and would give the successful candidate the chance to plan, introduce and implement brand new procedures that would be utilised all over Scotland!

The Procurement Project Officer Role:

• Leading on a number of procurement projects and supporting the development of specifications for goods and services
• Communicate credibly with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders whilst undertaking robust analysis of current systems and proposing options for change and improvement
• Provide guidance and support to a close knit established team throughout the procurement processes
• Working with stakeholders and facilitating user requirements for a range of contracts and upcoming tenders
• Contributing to procurement reviews and the implementation of potential new procurement strategies

Successful candidates for Procurement Project Officer post will need:

• Must be a member, or working towards becoming a member, of the CIPS
• Strong knowledge and previous experience of public sector procurement would be highly advantageous
• Be able to respond positively to changing and emerging requirements within the business and new tenders and opportunities arrive and be able to offer to support their team in doing the same
• A Solid understanding of the strategic procurement process including procurement strategies, sourcing and tendering, supplier management and negotiation
