Procurement Manager

ASA Recruitment are looking for an Procurement Manager/Officer to come on board for a 6 month Interim period to work with their client within the Public Sector. Our client would also consider candidates with Procurement Officer/Specialist/Co-ordinator experience.

If you started in this role you would be………..

• Carrying out contracting and tendering exercises for goods, services and works as part of the clients annual expenditure
• Delivering and embed contract and supplier management for contacts/supply relationships.
• Consult on a regular basis with end-users to provide expertise, knowledge and experience on a wide range of procurement subject matters.
• Ensure procurement activites meet the required project deadlines

So what are we looking for ……….

• Good knowledge and experience with the relevant legislation of public procurement, GDPR and substainability, including the concepts and associated benfits.
• Maintain familiarity and proficiency with current (and future) procurement legislation (eg UK and Scottish Public Contracts Regulations, EU Procurement Directives, relevant case law, etc.)
• Working closely with internal and external stakeholders across all levels of a large organisation.
• Educated to at least SCQF level 6-7 or equivalent.
