Catering Assistant

Description

Working as part of the team in Edinburgh to assist and support in the smooth and efficient preparation and delivery of food & beverage across all areas of the business. Taking responsibility for ensuring that the delivery of food and customer service exceeds client and company expectations.

Able to create and maintain goodwill and take a thorough, systematic and logical approach to situations. The ability to communicate, proper time management, and to look the part. You are a confident, enthusiastic, approachable and accommodating individual.

Responsibilities include:
· Ensure full area of responsibility is cleaned and set up prior to service, cleaned and replenished throughout service with the range of products and services specified and cleaned and cleared at the end of service ready for the next day.
· Ensure thorough and up to date knowledge of menu and special offers in order to provide relevant information to customers and clients.
· Communicating any customer complaints to the appropriate manager, ensuring that all complaint handling is dealt with professionally.
· Observe and comply with COSHH, health & safety, Hygiene and Food Safety regulations and to report any incidents to the relevant team member.
· To establish a good relationship with colleagues and customers and maintain a professional image at all times.
· Maintain client and company confidentiality and security at all times.
· Tray service skills.
· Good customer service skills.
· Good communication skills.

Requirements:
· Level 1 Award in Food Safety.
· Awareness of manual handling techniques.
· Good command of spoken and written English.
· 2 hour mandatory Scottish Licence training.
