Are you a Qualified Accountant looking for a new challenge?

ASA Recruitment are working with our Public Sector Client to source a qualified and experienced CCAB Accountant to support a project running for 4 months over the summer.

As the Accountant you will:
· Enable and drive a vigorous financial evaluation of key organisations decisions for example staffing, projects and investments
· Undertake annual budgeting processes including staff costs, projects and wider budgeting policies while liaising with colleagues and managers
· Forecast and phase budgets using agreed corporate systems and models for the organisation while taking ownership for the maintenance or updates for these tools to support the forecasting used by all offices
· Ensure financial and managerial information reports are produced as required including updating of corporate systems with information at the required stages
· Responsible for the preparation of the draft Finance report data and draft report
· Ad hoc support on business cases and projects
· Provide support to Assistant Business Accountant as required

Successful candidates for this Accountant role will need:
· A qualification in Accountancy and strong experience in a CCAB Accountant role
· Strong experience in budget management including forecasting and phasing
· The ability to monitor, report and provide the Financial Controller and Chief Financial Officer with reliable and credible financial data including forecasts and advice
· Experience of taking a business partnering approach to support Offices and act as lead business partner on agreed Groups including supporting any agreed projects
· An excellent understanding and hands on ability to operate finance systems and excel skills are essential
