Business Analyst

ASA Recruitment’s well-known public sector client is looking to recruit a Business Analyst for an initial 6 month contract with the possibility of extension. This role will be working from home for the foreseeable future.

MAIN DUTIES:
· Support project team to swiftly prepare a high-quality Evidence Pack for submission for DEA accreditation
· Working with an ISO27001/2 Certification and Audit Specialist in the project team, to produce a scoping statement describing the DSLS service. This statement will put the DSLS service in the context of the organisation in terms of technical, process, policy, business, and information aspects. The purpose of this scoping statement is to frame the DSLS service DEA Accreditation Evidence Pack and subsequent audit
· Work with an ISO27001/2 Certification and Audit Specialist in the project team to analyse existing security documentation and accreditation evidence pack
· Prepare process maps and traceability matrix of documentation to support accreditation
· Work with project team and support local business SME’s on the upgrade/creation of the documents to support accreditation
· Work with an ISO27001/2 Certification and Audit Specialist to develop and improve business processes to achieve DEA Accreditation
· Work with the Project team and Management Team to support the development of processes to support ongoing DEA Accreditation

REQUIREMENTS:
· Demonstrable and extensive experience of Business Analysis in a wide range of technical and business contexts
· Demonstrable experience of Business Analysis in a Compliance and Audit context specifically in respect of security. Experience of Business Analysis in the context of a successful implementation and certification to ISO27001/2 is highly desirable
· Demonstrable experience of documenting existing Security Management System processes and working with security professionals and business areas to improve such processes
· Demonstrable experience of creating system scope documentation to articulate system boundaries for certification purposes
· Demonstrable experience of successful working across multifunctional teams with a wide variety of professional specialists who do not necessarily have knowledge of information security matters
· Excellent written and verbal communications skills with an ability to present ideas and messages in a clear, concise and positive way to both technical and non-technical audiences
· Strong interpersonal and engagement skills with proven experience of positive and successful influencing outside of direct line management controls
· Proven ability to analyse complex information to present options to executive management
