Data Standards Project Manager

Description

ASA are looking for a Data Standards Project Manager for an initial 6 week contract to be based in Edinburgh.

You must be familiar with the Scottish Open Data Strategy and the Digital Strategy for Scotland to ensure you have an understanding of the wider data and digital public services agenda.

· Facilitate stakeholder rewiews on data standards vision and action plan
· Develop appropriate programme management processes, this will include helping to develop methods to monitor and evaluate the data standard policies and their adoption over time
· Set up programme governance
· Working with staff help to develop a communications strategy and narrative for data standards across the public sector and test with senior public sector leaders

Requirements:

· Experience with helping to develop and monitor new programmes of work including creating visions, action plans and roadmaps
· Knowledge in open data and/or data standards (for example interoperability, metadata, linked data, unique identifiers, base registries)
· The ability to communicate complex messages to a range of audiences, with impact
· Excellent stakeholder engagement and influencing skills
