Catering Assistant

Description

ASA Recruitment are keen to speak to experienced Catering Assistants to work as part of catering teams based in various Schools and Care Homes within Edinburgh and the surrounding areas.

Applicants who hold a PVG certificate are desirable but not essential as you can apply for a PVG through ASA. You will also need to update you existing PVG before starting work with ASA.

As a Catering Assistant your duties will include

• Assisting in food preparation
• General cleaning of the kitchen and restaurant areas
• Preparing dining areas to create a safe and enjoyable environment pupils and residents
• Maintaining a clean hazard free kitchen and dining area

Desired qualities include:

• Flexibility between different areas of catering
• Capability to follow instruction and communicate effectively
• Ability to work within a fast-paced environment
• Basic health and safety knowledge
