Description

Our client is looking for a Care Inspector with a social work or a senior nursing background to provide assurance and protection for service users and their carers.

Responsibilities:

  • Work to relevant professional codes of practice and national occupational standards
  • Support improvement through a range of enquiries and improvement responses
  • Support the strategic inspection of adult or children’s services or shared inspections with other scrutiny bodies as required
  • Gather, analyse, assess and prepare reports, with clear evidence, based on outcomes that direct and contribute to improvements in the care and protection of service users
  • Demonstrate commitment to improving outcomes for people using care services
  • Work collaboratively and effectively with a range of stakeholders

Requirements:

  • Minimum of three years management experience in Social work service or Nursing practice in the public, private or voluntary sectors
  • Experience of working with other regulatory bodies or partner scrutiny bodies
  • Understanding and experience of adhering to relevant legislation
  • Professional registration with a regulatory body such as NMC, GTC etc.
  • Ability to register to the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC)
  • Knowledge of social care practice
