Our client in Aberdeen are looking to recruit a Recruitment Project Manager on a temporary basis for an initial 6 months with the possibility to extend for a further 12 months. The postholder will be tasked with planning a recruitment strategy to drive through a prioritised recruitment process ( expected to be phased over a year ) from production of job descriptions through to job evaluation concluding with successful appointments
The typical working week will be 37 hours ( Monday to Friday ) with a day rate based on an annual salary of £37,418 PAYE plus holiday accrual
Specific duties of the role:
* Develop a recruitment strategy, incorporating appropriate and effective recruitment approaches and flexible plans that comply with Scottish Government (SG) policies and procedures, that supports expansion with the minimum disruption to delivery of business priorities
* Co-ordinate the production of job descriptions, and ensure appropriate evaluation / benchmarking is undertaken for all identified new roles
* Act as key contact and work closely in partnership with SG HR Shared Services and Resourcing teams and internal HR staff to co-ordinate recruitment exercises
* Liaise with recruiting managers on suitable selection methods, exploring options and making recommendations on best approach
* Co-ordinate and support interviews and assessment processes to ensure that managers are supported in the selection process
* Liaise with Trade Union colleagues, managers and staff as required on matters relating to the recruitment strategy and project as required
* Maintain and report appropriate management information to measure progress and to provide updates to the Programme Manager and / or Project Co-Ordinator as required
Essential criteria of postholder:
* A professional HR qualification and experience of working in a recruitment / resourcing environment ( preferably public sector )
* The ability to research, understand and observe SG HR policies and procedures
* Experience and understanding of job evaluation and grading systems
* Strong organisational skills
* Good communication, interpersonal, networking and team-working skills with the ability to engage confidently with people at all levels
* The ability to work flexibly and respond quickly and pragmatically to changes in plans or circumstances
The postholder will be required to have a current Basic Disclosure and undergo BPSS checking
