Description

ASA Recruitment are looking for a number of Handymen/women to work within well-established Care Homes in Edinburgh City. We are looking for applicants to start immediately with staffing requirements steadily increasing over the coming months.

It is a recommendation from ASA Recruitment that you have or apply for a full PVG disclosure. This will allow you to work within the public sector with adults and children (Full PVG costs £59) – (updates cost £18)

As an experienced Handyperson joining ASA Recruitment you will be expected to:

• Carry out building checks to ensure a safe and secure environment
• Undertake repairs and report issues which require specialist attention
• Assisting in movement of furniture/room moves
• General all round maintenance

Successful Handyperson(s) based in Edinburgh and the Lothian’s should have:

• Practical skills in identifying and/or carrying out standard repairs
• Experience within a maintenance or similar role
• Working knowledge of health and safety
• Ability to work on own initiative
• Good communication skills allowing you to provide great customer service

Joining ASA will grant you flexible working hours depending on your availability and will also entitle you to holiday pay which is accrued hourly and can be taken whenever requested. Furthermore, an induction will be given to you by handover staff or the site manager at every new site you attend.
