Assistant Economist

Are you an Economics graduate with an interest in environmental or health economics?

Our client is looking for an Assistant Economist to assist with a scoping study on examining evidence on the value of forests on mental health in the UK.

This role will be based in Midlothian and expected to go on for 3-4 months initially.

Responsibilities:

· Provide research support to senior staff
· Report on economic research in order to deliver objectives
· Produce timely reports on research undertaken
· Generate external funding
· Build and maintain excellent stakeholder relationships

Requirements:

· Experience in reviewing and analysing literature
· The ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision
· Economics degree (or degree with a substantial economics component)
· Interest in environmental, ecological or health economics
· Experience of working in research or environmental economics
