Our client in Ellon are currently recruiting for a Support Assistant on an initial 3 month placement with a view to becoming permanent.

The working hours are between 28 to 37 hours (full time) per week to suit the right candidate. Rate of pay starting from £9.00 – £9.72 DOE

We require someone who is enthusiastic, confident, calm and good fun with a desire to empower the life choices of the people we support. Full driving licence is essential.

Job purpose:

Working with adults and children using our services, as a Support Worker you will enable the people you are working with to live as full and independent a life as possible; assisting them and their families to design, develop, implement and review person centred packages of support which will maximise their opportunities and choices giving them as much control as possible over their own life.

You will be required to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team of staff to support and meet individual’s needs and expectations.

You will be expected to support individuals directly with all aspects of their daily living as laid out in their Outcome Based Support Plan (OBSP).

You may also be required to work on a 1:1 basis, sometimes in lone worker situations, to support people within their own homes and/or participate in their chosen activities and interests.

Support Assistant requirements:

  • Minimum of 6 months UK experience as a Care or Support Assistant
  • Existing PVG member, update required at a cost to yourself (£18 for existing PVG scheme members)
  • SSSC registration or 6 months to register from date of employment
  • Willingness to work above and beyond to maintain our high standards
  • Medication & epilepsy training preffered but not essential as full training will be provided

In return we are offering (during temp period):

  • Support from an ASA Consultant from 7am until 10pm, 7 days a week
