We are currently recruiting compassionate and motivated Support Workers to join our Forensic Core & Cluster Service in Dunfermline, providing 24-hour care and support to individuals with learning disabilities and/or mental health needs.
This is a rewarding opportunity to support individuals to live as independently as possible while promoting dignity, choice, inclusion, and wellbeing in a safe and supportive environment.
The Role
As a Support Worker, you will:
Promote social inclusion by supporting individuals to access opportunities within their local communities.
Encourage and enable people to maximise their personal independence, health, and wellbeing.
Deliver person-centred support in accordance with individual care plans and National Care Standards.
Assist with personal and physical care tasks when required, including:
Eating and drinking
Medication administration
Continence care
Dressing and personal hygiene
Daily living and mobility support
Provide positive encouragement and support individuals to make their own choices and decisions in all aspects of daily life.
Build professional and trusting relationships with the people you support.
Maintain accurate records and work effectively as part of a team.
What Were Looking For
A caring, respectful, and reliable approach.
Experience supporting individuals with learning disabilities, mental health needs, or forensic support needs is desirable but not essential.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Flexibility to work a range of shifts including dayshifts, backshifts, sleepovers, and nightshifts.
Commitment to a minimum full-time placement of 3 months.
