SecOps Engineer

Are you an experienced SecOps Engineer ready for your next contract in the Scottish public sector?
Our client are looking for a Security Operations Engineer to provide input into and support the creation and behaviours of the relevant security policies associated with the implementation of Microsoft 365.
Outline of the role:

The current digital transformation project has very specific milestones which require to be met in full. The SecOps Engineer will provide key resources to ensure these milestones are met. Key tasks which are required to be completed during the contract timelines, include:

· Implementation of Identity and Access Management

· Implementation of Azure Information Protection (AIP)

· Implementation of Data Loss Prevention (DLP)

· Implementation of Office365 Advanced Threat Protection (ATP)

· Implementation of Exchange Online Protection

· Lead and participate in ongoing Office 365 security and strategy discussions

· Document system configurations, standards and procedures

Alongside the specific milestones listed above, the SecOps Engineer will also be expected to assist the in-house Cybersecurity and Operational Teams when reacting to live security activities, including mitigating actions, i.e. specific security patching and change configuration.

Essential Experience:

· Experience of Microsoft O365 Security Products.
· Proven experience in similar migration projects from On-Premise to Cloud Environments.
· Microsoft Security certifications.
· Proven experience in dealing with ‘live’ security incidents impacting operational activities

Desirable Criteria:

· Experience in SIEM technologies and Cyber Defense applications
· Experience of Deep Packet Inspection techniques
