Refrigeration Engineer

Our client is a leading refrigeration company who are service led, focusing on providing proactive strategies for their clients. The company is growing rapidly, and we are currently recruiting for experienced Refrigeration Engineers to join the Scottish team, ideally based in either Glasgow or Edinburgh.

In the role of Refrigeration Engineer the successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of planned, reactive, repair and installation of commercial air conditioning, refrigeration and HVAC. Working in large commercial environments across Scotland.

Responsibilities and duties:

• Perform routine maintenance of air conditioning, refrigeration and HVAC equipment in commercial buildings
• Complete installation work
• Diagnose and identify faults and failures
• Order and fit parts or components to the equipment
• Use handheld technology within allocated timescales
• Work as part of team members when required
• Work within SLAs
• Supervision of sub-contractors

Qualifications and skills

• A time served refrigeration engineer with C&G or SVQ
• FGAS C&G 2079
• Ideally 5 years post apprenticeship experience
• Previous experience in dealing with all types of refrigeration installation, service and maintenance work within the service sector
• Experience in working with AC systems, VRF systems, integral and remote dairy & drinks cabinets
• Happy to work in a client facing environment
• Strong customer service focus
• Good health and safety awareness and knowledge
• High levels of communication
• Full UK driving licence
• Complete an enhanced Disclosure Scotland report
