Description

ASA are currently recruiting for a qualified social worker to join our team, for full time work in the Elgin area. This is a temporary position, ongoing until March 2022 starting as soon as possible. Pay rate varies depending on experience and starts from £20 per hour.

Duties involved with this role may include;
· Undertaking Community Care assessments when required
· Organising of suitable packages of care following financial assessments and ensuring adequate resources are available
· Liaising with other local authority services e.g. old age psychiatry, learning disability, mental health, partner agencies, providers and informal service users
· Monitoring and review service user needs and provision on a regular basis
· Providing direct service and support to individuals and families, and their carers
· Working with colleagues within the Health and Social Care Teams
· Participation with Team Manager in supervision, staff development and ERDP
· Participation in office duty system when required
· Maintaining electronic and manual case records, provide information for performance indicators, unfulfilled procedures and statutory duties in line with national and local policy practices and procedures
· Following of all health and safety guidelines

What do we want from you? To be considered for this role you should have a relevant professional qualification in Social Work and be SSSC and PVG Registered. You should have experience of working in a Health/Social Care setting and Home Hospital while being able to demonstrate understanding of main issues facing Community Care. Experience of case management within a multi-agency setting would be desired but not essential.

The ideal candidate should be;
· Effective communicator, with excellent assessment and organisational skills
· Able to handle change and work to deadlines and under pressure
· Able to successfully manage own workload
· Competent with use of IT equipment and software
· An effective team player
· Flexible to meet demands of the service

You will be expected to travel efficiently and effectively between work locations within Moray to meet the operational requirements of the Service. Due to the rural nature of Moray this is normally undertaken by use of a car.
