Are you an experienced Product Owner looking for your next challenge within the public sector?

ASA are currently seeking a Product Owner to take the lead developing a new benefits solution for a contract role based in the Scottish Central belt.

The Product Owner Role:

  • Bring together and manage a multi-disciplinary team which include specialists in policy development, analysis, and technical staff and manage their work within an agile project framework.
  • Define and obtain stakeholder buy-in for your product and the approach to delivery.
  • Write options appraisals, business cases and provide information that enables the overall programme to procure the appropriate technology and services.
  • Create effective, prioritised product descriptions and delivery plans to meet user needs in a cost effective way.
  • Plan and prioritize product feature backlog and development for the product.
  • Research and analyse markets, users, and the overall roadmap for the product.

Successful candidates for the Product Owner role will need:

  • A strong ability to define growth opportunities and communicate and present these to an array of different stakeholders.
  • Time and people management skills that would allow the successful candidate to work in partnership with a range of different teams and colleagues to promote best working practices and new ideas.
  • The ability to lead a multi-disciplinary team and set priorities for yourself and others using previous experience of recognised methodologies.
  • Experience of similar roles in the Public sector would be advantageous.
