Payroll Officer

ASA Recruitment are working with a well-established and highly reputable client who urgently requires a Payroll Officer to join them on a permanent basis.

As Payroll Officer you will be responsible for:

• Managing a complex weekly and monthly payroll including all HMRC & Pensions matters
• Building relationships with key stakeholders and take the lead on any pay related issues
• Perform necessary payroll control checks to ensure compliance and integrity of data
• Manage and resolve all payroll related queries
• Completing P60’s and P45’s, P11D’s and other related returns
• Preparation and review of various management information reports
• Assists in creating and updating procedural payroll changes including implementation and testing of new processes
• Work closely with the Finance Manager for continual business process improvements
• Management of one team member

The successful candidate will need to have a minimum of two years previous experience in Payroll, preferably in a high volume role, be able to work to deadlines whilst maintaining quality standards across the payroll function. You will be a confident communicator with strong excel skills and experience to be able to produce management and other ad-hoc reports.

You will also require a high degree of accuracy and strong attention to detail with experience in taking full responsibility for the quality of your own work as well as supporting colleagues in maintaining these high standards.

You will be part of a compact finance team so being a team player is essential to help this function operate effectively.
