ASA are currently working alongside a large-scale client in the public sector who are looking for an experienced payroll consultant to join their dynamic team within their HR People Operations department.

Key Responsibilities:
· Play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth delivery of payrolls on a monthly cycle.
· Work closely with outsourced providers to enhance current processes and ways of working.
· Conduct a baseline audit of the monthly payroll and provide recommendations for improvement.
· Develop and review company payroll contingency plans to ensure operational readiness.
· Collaborate with stakeholders to drive process automation and system integration between HR and payroll applications.

Key requirements:
· Experience of working in a complex payroll environment with knowledge of payroll systems and processes.
· Skilled in performing monthly payroll tasks, including conducting operational process checks, managing interface routines, and reconciling payroll data.
· Experienced in handling pension-related matters
· Governance and accuracy are essential to the efficient operation of the service so you will have a track record of attention to detail and deployment of your technical skill and knowledge
· Effective stakeholder relationships are pivotal for the success of the payroll function within the organisation. Therefore, you will need to cultivate strong relationships within the team, throughout the broader HR function, and with Finance stakeholders
